William Henry Gates III (dilahirkan pada 28 Oktober 1955) atau lebih dikenali sebagai Bill Gates, merupakan sorang ahli perniagaan Amerika Syarikat dan pengasas Microsoft Corporation (bersama Paul Allen). Beliau juga adalah pengerusi, bekas Ketua Perisian Arkitek dan bekas Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif untuk Microsoft Corporation , syarikat perisian terbesar di dunia.
Bill Gates ialah salah seorang ahli perniagaan yang amat terkenal dalam revolusi komputer peribadi. Walaupun beliau dihormati ramai dengan kekayaaan berdasarkan kepintaran dan cara pemikirannya, namun begitu taktik perniagaan beliau kerap dikritik sebagai tidak bersaing secara adil yang menyebabkan beliau dihadapkan ke mahkamah beberapa kali.
Bill Gates kerap membuat sumbangan dengan mendermakan jumlah wang yang besar kepada banyak organisasi dan program kajian sains menerusi yayasan yang ditubuhkan beliau pada tahun 2000, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Majalah Forbes, menyenaraikan beliau sebagai orang terkaya di dunia untuk 13 tahun berturut-turut, dengan nilai sebanyak $60 bilion. Pada tahun 2008, kesusutan nilai saham Microsoft sebanyak 15% meletakkan beliau ke tempat ke-3 selepas Warran Buffett dan Carlos Slim Helu.
